(if installing 64bit OS, 64 bits raid driver may not show drive and you may have to use 32bit) After choosing 64bit driver, wait a few seconds and see if hard drive appears, it does not show up instantly after completing load driver. When windows shows no hard drive to install to, click "load driver" and point to 3.5 driver you copied to your thumb drive. 3.6 version has known issue (per asus tech rep) Be sure to use driver " Version 3.&3.5.0.109 " from asus website. Be sure to set raid in bios but do not install more than one HD unti windows is fully installed. #Asus p9x79 red cpu led drivers#Install will drive you crazy for drivers and you'll be left stumped. That way, if the computer starts panicking and starts speeding up the H80, I won't have to worry about extra noise from the 200mm fans being sped up.Learn more about the ASUS P9X79 LE Model BrandĭDR3 2400(O.C.)/ 2133(O.C.)/ 1866/ 1600/ 1333/ 1066 Or should I indeed hook the 200mm fans to the manual case fan controller I wonder. And instead of hooking those two 200mm fans to the case fan controller, I think I'm going to plug them into the asus p9x79 deluxe mobo and let the computer worry about fan adjustments. I don't think I'll be buying the "link".Īs for the case fans, since I removed the back 600t case fan from my build and hooked up the two H80 fans there, I only have the two 200mm case fans to worry about. The Corsair link seems to be a totally separate product that Corsair sells that monitors your system for temperature fluctuations. It has nothing to do with the CPU cooler. No, actually that's the wire that connects the 600T's fan controller to the three case fans that come with the case. Thanks.Īnd what is the 3 pin connector (to the left of the cpu_fan) for? On the p9x79 deluxe I mean.Īlso, would connecting the Corsair 600T "link" wire to the pump be all that I would have to do in terms of connecting the case fans to the mobo? I just want to make sure I get this all right. I should plug the 3 pin connector into the 4 pin "CPU_FAN" connector right? But in what way should I plug it? I'm assuming it should be the right most 3 pins leaving the 4th pin (all the way on the left side) exposed correct? And, if I were to do just that, I'd have to plug it so the one black wire from the pump's 3 pin connector would be facing to the left and not connecting to the "ground" pin on the CPU_FAN connector. Yes, you did not need to add extra thermal paste, hopefully most of it was squeezed out.īut the extra paste shouldn't interfere right?Īnyways, Let me understand this correctly. Besides that, the other purpose of that connector is to monitor the H80's pump speed, which should be ~2000+ RPM. Otherwise, you may get a "CPU fan" error if nothing is connected to it.
